Oh today.
Difficult in that I was lazy due to the rain.
In Italian, we did this exercise where we went around and asked each other what our favorite things to do were.
I'm limited on my verbs.
So one girl asked me, and I said,
"Me piache bevo"
I like to drink.
Not thinking anything bad.
So after we were done mingling, our professor went around and asked us who likes what, the girl raised her hand and said,
"A Kimberly piache bevo la birra"
Kimberly likes to drink beer.
My professor looks at me, wide eyed, like, 'is this true?!'
I was daydreaming,
so I looked and saw him looking at me,
saw her looking at me,
so I nodded and said "si, vero" meaning yes,true,
and shook my soda at him,
ASSUMING she said I like to drink.
So he freaked out thinking I had alcohol in my soda.
And I freaked out once I got what he was thinking.
Then everyone started laughing.
So embarrassing.
